The summer school will be held twice at the Vienna University of Applied Sciences FH Campus Wien during the summer terms startin in 2025. It is offered as an elective design course, with a preparatory virtual lecture and an on-site, two-week workshop in July.

The summer school focuses on exploring the building materials timber, earth, and straw, guided by renowned experts as lecturers and supervisors. The virtual part serves as an introduction to these bio-based materials, preparing you for the hands-on experience. Between April and May 2025, you’ll attend online lectures on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and participate in a design competition, receiving guidance and mentorship throughout. The best projects will be selected by students and lecturers and brought to life on-site between July 7–18, 2025.
